Tammy Eby was born and reared in the Nashville, TN area. She graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN in 1988 with a BS degree and a Physician Assistant degree. She was awarded Magna Cum Larde and Outstanding Physician Assistant Student in TN.
Tammy practiced in a Family Practice group in Olathe, KA from 1988 to 1991. She then moved to Lewisburg, TN to direct a chemical dependency unit, practiced Family Medicine, and worked in the county jail from 1991 to 1996. From 1996 to 2001, she moved to Brooksville, FL to practice Internal Medicine and then relocated to Huntsville, AL and worked the next three years in a state prison for men and had extensive training with HIV and AIDS patients.
In 2004, she and her husband, Mark Eby, pastor of the Rocky Mount Church of the Nazarene, moved to Rocky Mount and she joined Eastern North Carolina Medical Group to continue her profession as a Physician Assistant. She sees patients in our local assisted living facilities in the mornings and patients at the Millbranch office in the afternoons.
She and Mark have two children, Devon and Drew.
